DETAILS: “Lake of the Crimes”, written and directed by Dave Atkinson and produced

by MMG Productions, is the story of adultery, greed and deceit at a lake resort

community, very similar to Lake of the Pines. As guests arrive they learn there has

been a murder of one of the residents of the community who happens to have quite a

few enemies and shady business dealings. The key suspects are other residents who

have had run-ins with the victim. These residents are played by professional actors as

well as some of the mystery guests who have volunteered to play a role. When making

reservations any audience members who would like to be considered to play a small

role should let them know. Those selected will be contacted by director Dave Atkinson

prior to the show and giving all they need to play the character.

As the evening continues dinner is served (see dinner menus below) while the action

and developments of the mystery continue to unfold. A second murder is committed

and everyone in the room is an eyewitness. Further clues are found throughout the

room as the guests are encouraged to work as detective teams and conduct their own

investigations. More evidence is revealed and a third murder is committed before

dinner is finished. Over dessert, the guests are asked to fill out answer sheets stating

who they think committed each of the murders and what the motive was for each.

Following a solution scene where the culprits are arrested, prizes are awarded to the

best and worst detective teams in the audience.
